Tekapo A hydro power station is operated by Genesis Energy. The station was commissioned in 1951 and generates 25.2MW through a single turbine.
McMahon Involvement
McMahon have been engaged to replace the station services switchboards at Tekapo A power station. The switchboard provide supplies for the generator auxiliaries and general station services. The project includes upgrading of the controls for the emergency diesel generator at Tekapo A.
