Kawakawa Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Kawakawa Bay wastewater treatment plant and vacuum pump station replaced an aging sceptic tank system that caused considerable pollution to the Kawakawa bay shore front and groundwater. This was the first in New Zealand to use a vacuum waste water collection system.
