Contact Energy Project Columbus

Project Columbus involved new productions wells WK270, WK271 & WK272 in the Te Mihi Steamfield. The well controls integrated into the existing Te Mihi Steamfield Flash Plant 15 (FP15) ABB 800xA control system via Profibus Communications over a fibre link.
For the project McMahon completed the conceptual and detailed electrical and controls design for the integration of the new wells WK270, WK271 & WK272 and pipeline connections to the existing Te Mihi Steamfield, with new actuated isolation valves and monitoring instrumentation installed and commissioned.
