Since 1998 McMahon Engineering Consultancy Ltd and now McMahon Ltd provide ongoing technical support to Te Aponga Uira.
McMahon Involvement
Project Scope - Generation Upgrade (2014-)
- Electrical engineering services and client engineer for the new generation project and SCADA project. The generation project includes conceptual, detailed design, and client engineer role for new HV switchgear, new generation (5), ancillary plant for fuel systems, fire systems and the like.
- The SCADA project includes conceptual, and client engineer role for the power station site wide SCADA, and remote monitoring and control of solar installations around Rarotonga. Existing generator and power station controls systems are being migrated to the new SCADA system along with new generation.
